Mexican Independence Day

One of the most vibrant nights of the year in Sayulita. On the evening of September 15, the plaza fills with mariachi, banda music, and food vendors serving pozole, tacos, and elotes. Around 11 PM, a local official reenacts the historic Grito from a stage, followed by fireworks over the town. September 16 brings a parade through the streets with schoolchildren, folkloric dancers, and charros on horseback.
