Ally Cat Tours is a family-run boat company with its office in Sayulita, but its trips leave from Marina La Cruz in La Cruz de Huanacaxtle, a fishing village on Banderas Bay. The company says it has worked the bay since 1990. The fleet includes Ally Cat, a 56-foot sailing catamaran; Ally Cat Too, a 48-foot trimaran; Ally Cat 3, a 33-foot center-console boat for up to 12; and Fat Cat, a 65-foot power catamaran for up to 120 people. The shared day trip runs on Fat Cat to the Islas Marietas, a national park known for blue-footed boobies and coral reefs. Guests swim, snorkel, paddleboard and explore sea caves, and breakfast, snacks, a fajita lunch cooked aboard and an open bar are part of the fare. In October 2026 the company's site listed it at about 2,200 pesos per adult, with children 3 and under free. Private charters run three, four or six hours. The company says humpbacks arrive between December and March to mate and calve, and that sightings are frequent but never certain. Park rules require life vests in the water.

Transport from Sayulita on the Ally Cat Bus is included. A crew of captain, chef, and first mates accompanies every trip, along with snorkeling equipment, kayaks, paddleboards, and an open bar with a freshly prepared Mexican-style lunch.
Bring sunscreen, a swimsuit, and a towel. A light cover-up or jacket is useful for the sail back. Leave valuables at home.
Gratuities for crew are not included. Guests staying south of Sayulita (Puerto Vallarta, Bucerias, Punta de Mita) meet the boat directly at La Cruz Marina.
