Ready for fewer people? Marea runs guided trips to La Lancha, a quieter break south of town, and drives you there in an open-top truck. Sayulita Surf Center teaches at Punta Mita as well as at home.
At Marea the board, the rash guard and the ride to La Lancha are all part of it. You show up in a swimsuit. The group never goes past four surfers for each instructor.
Sayulita Surf Center is run by Diego Cadena, a surfer born and raised in Sayulita, and teaches every level. Bring sunscreen and water. The shop by Hotel Sayulinda opens daily at 7:30 in the morning.
