The Sayulita Beach Club Guide

La Isla: Sunbeds, a Swing Bar and a Massage

La Isla Beach Club is the whole beach day in one place. Sunbeds and umbrellas sit on the sand, the bar has swings for seats, and the kitchen does seafood and grilled plates, with something vegan on the menu. The bar pours craft beer, mezcal and raicilla beside the house cocktails.

You barely need to move. There are surf rentals and massage on site, DJs from Friday to Sunday, and the doors are open 12:30 to 8:30pm every day. First time on a board? Book a lesson before you rent one.

La Playita: Breakfast on the Sand

La Playita opens at 8 every morning, so it’s the club to pick when your day starts early. It’s a palapa restaurant and bar on Calle Playa Azul, and the menu runs to burgers and tacos.

Take a lounge chair on the sand or a table under a palm umbrella. There’s pool access too. It’s an easy one with kids, and it stays open until 8:30pm.

El Camarón: Live Music, and Bring the Dog

Surfboards lean on the palapa at El Camarón on Avenida del Palmar, and the waves roll in a few steps from your table. Order a cold drink and the seafood, and settle in for the live music.

GOAT: Open Late, and You Can Book

GOAT Beach Club on Calle Delfines is the one for a long day. It opens at 10am and serves until midnight, with cocktails, small plates, wine and live music. It’s closed on Wednesdays.

It takes reservations and cards, which makes it the easy call for a group or a birthday. When it closes, the bars in town keep going.
