Chaman Mexican Creative Kitchen
Restaurant

Chaman Mexican Creative Kitchen sits on Av. del Palmar, between Sábalo and Chiripa, on the north side of Sayulita. Tables are set outdoors in a garden under palm trees, with lights strung overhead. The name means shaman, and the drinks list plays along, filing its house cocktails under a shamanic heading. One, called the Sayulita, mixes raicilla with mango and serrano chili syrup. Raicilla is an agave spirit whose protected origin zone includes Bahía de Banderas, the Nayarit municipality Sayulita belongs to. It is open 8:30 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. Mornings bring a full brunch menu: several kinds of chilaquiles, one with birria, gluten-free hotcakes, and enmoladas, corn tortillas and chicken under a house mole of dried chilies, nuts and semisweet chocolate. At dinner, reviewers often bring up the hibiscus flower tacos, a meatless filling of the blossoms in chili sauce with caramelized onions. The fish of the day comes two regional ways: a Nayarit sauce of dried chilies and achiote, or Yucatán-style tikin xic with sour orange. Most mains were about 250 to 370 pesos, tax included, on the menu posted in February 2026. There is a kids' menu, live music some nights, and reservations go through WhatsApp.
