Sea Turtle Nesting Season
Nature
Olive Ridley sea turtles nest on Sayulita beach from June through November. Volunteers patrol the sand from midnight searching for nesting females, then relocate eggs to a protected hatchery at the north end of the beach. The camp at the end of Calle Pelicanos welcomes visitors who want to learn about the program. Nest adoptions cost around $500 MXN.
