The Sandbar

The Sandbar, or Sayulita Sandbar, is a games bar on Avenida Revolución run by Jason and Alisha. Sayulita Life says they first came to town as empty nesters and wanted an evening spot for people who like to stay active. The bar began drawing reviews in autumn 2025. Pickleball is the headline, joined by ping pong, foosball, cornhole, beer pong, ring toss, darts and Beer Die, where a die lobbed high must bounce off a table and the other team tries a one-handed catch. The bar's website says anyone who buys food or drinks can use the games. The kitchen sticks to steak burgers on a local baker's buns and chicken wings smoked, then fried for crunch. TVs carry live sports. Sayulita Life's fall 2026 events calendar lists a Wednesday happy hour from 4 pm, with Pacifico beers at about 40 pesos, then a cornhole tournament at 8; a Friday ping pong tournament followed by karaoke; and live music on Saturday nights. There are fire pits, iguanas in the trees beside the veranda, and a love-lock wall made as a homemade nod to France's padlock bridges. Posted hours run 5:30 pm to midnight, closed Tuesdays, so confirming first is wise.
