Xochi
Bar & Nightlife

Xochi is a Mexican restaurant and bar at Avenida Revolución 44, looking over Sayulita's main plaza, with a rooftop terrace under a palapa roof. Its name draws on xochitl, the Aztec word for flower, and on Xochiquetzal, a goddess associated with flowers and artistic creation. The restaurant's site names Carlos Lanten as its chef, and the kitchen puts a fusion spin on Mexican cooking. Breakfast is served until 12:30, then the lunch and dinner menu takes over until 11 p.m. The restaurant also hosts weddings and private events, and tables can be booked through its website. The menu borrows from several regions of Mexico. Guacamole can come topped with Oaxacan grasshoppers, or chapulines, and the tlayuda, a large Oaxacan tortilla spread with beans and cheese, arrives with grilled arrachera steak. Aguachile verde cures shrimp in lime and dresses them in a green serrano, cucumber and cilantro sauce, and braised beef short rib gets a guava mole. On the menu posted to its website in early 2025, the aguachile cost about 300 pesos. The bar pours additive-free tequilas, artisanal mezcals and raicilla, an agave spirit from southwestern Jalisco and nearby Bahía de Banderas, Nayarit. There is a children's menu too.
