Alto Alto Rooftop

Alto Alto is a rooftop restaurant at Av. Revolución 33, on Sayulita's main street. A staircase leads up from the street to an open-air terrace on two levels, and the upper floor looks out over the street below. It opened in December 2023, and its owners told Sayulita Life they had spent years in the restaurant business. The kitchen cooks Mediterranean food and borrows freely from Mexico. Mornings bring three styles of chilaquiles, enchiladas in pipián, which is a pumpkin-seed mole, and Sayshuka, a Mexican-style shakshuka with feta and pita on the side. Dinner turns to shawarma, pastas, lamb and red snapper. The zarandeado fish nods to a classic Nayarit dish, traditionally grilled over coals and flipped often. Here the snapper comes in bell pepper sauce with couscous. Cocktails lean on tequila, mezcal and raicilla, mostly around 200 pesos in October 2026. The travel blog Couple in the Kitchen called it their favorite spot in town for cocktails and liked the Sol Tropical, tequila with guava and lime. Sayulita Life lists live music daily from 6 to 8 pm. Mornings run 8:30 am to 2:30 pm except Wednesday, and dinner 5 to 11 pm nightly. Book through OpenTable.
